This result was achieved by placing a number of porcelain veneers and crowns. The lower teeth were also whitened with a custom home whitening kit.

Veneers are a great option when there are number of issues with the teeth that straightening and teeth whitening alone won’t resolve. For this patient a number of the front teeth had been left discoloured by root canal fillings.

What were the patients concerns ?

The main concern was the two badly discoloured front teeth. The Patient wanted a broader and more even smile and to improve the metal margins of some old crowns on the back teeth.

HOW DID WE SHOW THE FINAL RESULT BEFORE WE STARTED?
In cases where a big cosmetic change is planned we can show you this before we start. We can show a simulated mock up of the new teeth in your own mouth so that we are sure that you are happy with the shape, colour and appearance of the proposed new teeth.

How long did the treatment take?

From initial consultation to fitting the final restorations was around 7 weeks. This allowed for the careful planing, teeth whitening (3 weeks) and the fitting of the final teeth.

WHY TEMPORARY VENEERS?

The final veneers usually take two weeks to be made so temporary ones are required. They also allow you to ‘test drive’ your new smile, to get used to it and make any small adjustments before the final veneers are made.

WHAT OTHER OPTIONS WERE THERE?

We could have just treated the two very dark front teeth and any dental disease present. The patient decided to delay straightening the lower teeth until later.

How Long do veneers last?

Veneers look their best for 10-15 years, they last longer and look better in a healthy mouth: good hygiene, regular check ups, non-smoker and with a low sugar diet.

WHAT WERE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?

Either pay as you go or finance options to spread the cost up to 36 months.

WHY NO VENEERS ON THE LOWER TEETH

Each case is different but they are not the best treatment option for this person - thats why an initial consultation is so important to assess the teeth, smile and personal aims.
